Whenever we talk about jewellery exhibitions we don’t regard the term ‘logic’ in a conventional sense, but look at its deeper, semantic meaning. It is not merely a question of scope but of a whole new space which opens up, enabling associative, emotional, stylistic and evaluative secondary meanings. A logic unfolds within the jewellery, enriched by accompanying ideas and individual impressions, where this logic can be understood not only abstractly but also as an artistic expression of hidden meanings and emotions.
This group exhibition in the HIER– Store once again consists of a collective of 10 female jewellery artists from Munich (Nelly Stein, Claudia Lassner, Jasmin Nussbaum, Lena Munzig, Eva Schlechte, Theresa Schuker, Elisa Henniger), Berlin (Miriam Arentz), Glasgow (Silvia Weidenbach) and Mira Kim from South Korea, who is currently taking part in the Research Fellowship at Pforzheim University.
They all work with the medium of jewellery in different ways and with different materials.
We are delighted to have been participating with the HIER– Store for several years and to be working with esteemed fellow artists, as well as new participants.
